  • Let’s Talk About Jesse & Gena!

Chances are you have already viewed our website but if not we encourage you to check that out too. We read somewhere that your website is like your handshake, so we like to think of our blog as our hug!

Gena and I are a professional husband and wife photography team located in Newburgh, Indiana. Everyone knows that a good artists' bio is a cliché list of things they love about life so in keeping with that ... our favorite season is the fall, we heart football, crave the occasional breakfast for dinner and most importantly share a sincere devotion to art.

We truly have a passion for weddings and all of the lovely couples that you will find documented on our blog. There is no greater joy for us than to bring out the extraordinary art within everyday couples. We photograph the natural moments that make life real art.

This is why we believe, Your Life is Real Art.

Matt & Audrey | New Harmony, Indiana | Spring Engagement

Spring has sprung! True, it is still a little chilly for April but let’s be real, we all know the days of open windows and the smell of burning charcoal are at our doorstep. It was one of those kinds of days for Matt and Audrey’s engagement session. These two are so freaking perfect for each other, its not even funny.  And lets not talk about how cute they are together. We had so much fun walking around New Harmony and basking in all the golden light that spring has to offer. Matt & Audrey are dog lovers just like us – so photographing with their pups was just icing on the cake.

Tommy & Kim | Terre Haute, Indiana | Spring Wedding

Everyone overuses the word love. Like “Oh, my gosh I LOVE Downton Abbey” or “Dude, seriously, I freakin’ LOVE avocados”. Sometimes we LOVE to eat guacamole which is made from avocados while we watch Downton Abbey, which we also LOVE – seriously! But really is there anything wrong with lots of love – we don’t think so. Tommy & Kim certainly have tons of love for each other and we absolutely loved being a part of their special day. Their lovely spring wedding was at St. Patrick Church in Terre Haute Indiana with the reception following at the Rose Hulman Banquet Hall. This is a photography blog that LOVES photos so we won’t bore you with anymore words.

Oregon Vineyard Wedding Featured in Style Me Pretty!

Have love, we will travel! It’s always flattering when a couple flys us somewhere to photograph their wedding. We love destination events and Reid and Suzanne’s McMinville Oregon (near Portland) wedding is definitely one of our most memorable weddings ever. Reid and Suzanne are “professional winos” — their words, not ours! Actually, they are both extremely hard working professionals in the wine industry. The wedding took place at the grooms family winery, Oliver Cellars, overlooking the vineyard, valley, and mountains. Guests casually gathered on the back porch, champagne in hand, to watch the couple tie the knot. Oregon, famous for raining whenever it feels the need, didn’t disappoint and drizzled for most of the day, breaking just long enough for the beautiful outside ceremony. Fortunately, Suzy was unfazed by the rain. The couple even created a cute newspaper detailing their love story as the wedding program: The Bald Olive Press, which is a creative play on their last names Baldwin and Oliver. The couple exchanged gold rings, which were custom made from family heirloom pieces. Reid and Suzy will be the first to tell you that great Oregon pinot noir creates a lasting impression on the palate and in the memory, and that is exactly what this stunning DIY wedding did for everyone lucky enough to attend, from the eclectically-gathered gold dresses to the amazing green Hunter galoshes that all the bridesmaids wore. And check out the vineyard’s barn that Suzy and family completely finished for the wedding, hanging collected crystal chandeliers, yards of draped linens and reclaimed barn wood siding to line the entire reception area. We were not surprised when Style Me Pretty did a full feature on the wedding but we were definitely honored.
